So, I have troubles with my bow and making it play the right note, sometimes it’s on the wrong string and then I play on a very awkward angle and it makes a screeching sound and then I try and correct myself and completely lose where I am and it takes a lot of practice to actually be able to play the songs. I hate fourth finger, it is very difficult to stretch the pinky that far and hit the right note. But things are getting a tiddle bit better with reading notes, I can completely recognize the G string and almost all of the A.
I think you mean that you can recognize the D string because we haven't really used the G string yet so it would make more sense. I am also having trouble bowing. I keep playing too close to the bridge and over the finger board but, like you, I am slowly getting better. Good bye.

ReplyDeleteIgnore that last one comment, Miss S. Andrew hacked my account.
ReplyDeleteI also have trouble playing the notes on the G string. We don't play many songs with it and it is much more difficult to read those low notes. But as long as you keep practicing, I'm sure you will get it eventually.
